Dr. Thomas J. Rainey, DVM

Dr Rainey graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1971 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture. He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1973. He takes a common sense approach to medicine, focusing on quality of life. This philosophy has led to adding acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine to services offered. The Rainey family is very musical, and has six dogs, 3 cats, and horses.

Ellen Cummings-Nasief, Veterinary Practice Manager and Veterinary Nurse

Ellen completed her undergraduate schooling at Auburn University and her post-graduate schooling at Purdue University. She has been with Dr. Rainey for several years, before which she served in the United States Marine Corps. Her constant pursuit of continuing education, as well as her passion to be the best advocate for the pet makes her a valuable asset to our veterinary hospital. Ellen lives in Crestwood, Kentucky, with her husband and fellow veteran, George, their sons, Joseph and Alexander, and their six cats and three dogs.
